English Language:

The English Language Course at Lycos is conducted at four levels:

>Basic
>Intermediate
>Upper Intermediate
>Advanced

Our intensive English Language Course covers listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. We access a student’s specific need and we determine in which skill he/she should be given more emphasis on. The levels of students are judged according to a preliminary test and/or interview taken prior to the commencement of classes; and they are placed to fit the levels accordingly. Each level consists of six weeks of intensive classes and students are tested and evaluated thoroughly to pass on to the next level. Apart from the theory sessions, practical components are designed to make the students use all the skills of English Language appropriately in all levels.

The English Language classes at Lycos are especially targeted to the students who cannot appear for the IELTS test preparation to pursue their dream of higher education abroad, business people who find difficulty in their job using day to day English, housewives who should be groomed with some English Language skills to cope with the challenges they may face in their lives, students from poor English background to succeed in their academic field, etc.

Apart from this, a special tailored course may also be designed according to the requirement of a group of students. In this course, the students may state their requirements and the competency they would like to achieve in using the English Language Skills; and we are there to assist them.
