The GMAT®:
The GMAT® (Graduate Management Admission Test®) is an aptitude test. Like other aptitude tests, the GMAT® has chosen math, English, and Logic to measure intellectual ability. It is a standardized test delivered in English which helps business schools assessing the qualifications of students in pursuing advanced study in business and management. The GMAT® scores have been shown to be good predictors of academic success in the first year of study at graduate schools of management. The GMAT® scores not only determine your acceptance into graduate business schools but also ensure your eligibility for scholarships, grants, and other financial aids.
Test Format:
The GMAT® is a 3-and-1-half-hour computer adaptive test (CAT). The first section consists of analytical writing task and the remaining two sections consist of multiple choice questions.

Computer Skills Needed:
You need only minimal level of computer skills to complete the GMAT® test such as:
- Using the word processor
- Using a mouse
- Moving to the next question
- Entering responses
- Accessing the Help function
The CAT vs. the Paper & Pencil Test:
The computerized GMAT® uses the same type of questions as did the Paper & Pencil Test. The only change is of the medium, i.e., the way the questions are presented.
